    Presenter Bio:  Brian McNeilly

    Brian McNeilly has over five years of experience within the field of web accessibility. A Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies, Brian has worked on hundreds of accessibility projects with clients including Fortune 500 companies, multi-national retail chains, and emerging tech start-ups. He has developed best practices and web accessibility standards with the World Wide Web Consortium (whose WCAG standards form the backbone of ADA compliance for the web), and thrice presented at CSUN ATC, the world’s largest accessibility conference.

    As an independent contractor, Brian has focused his efforts on helping small to medium sized projects achieve accessibility compliance, particularly within the Northern California area. With a holistic approach to accessibility, Brian focuses not just on the technical aspects of compliance, but the overall process of creating accessible content within organizations.

    The Sonoma County Lodging Association invites you to join us for the Annual Wine Country Chefs of Tomorrow fundraiser on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Rohnert Park. This entertaining night of great food, local wines, silent and live auction raises funds for local youth culinary arts programs. Programs like these are vital to our future, providing practical training and important job skills for our youth.

    This is our seventeenth year partnering with Sonoma County high school culinary arts programs including Casa Grande, El Molino, Healdsburg, Maria Carrillo, Piner, Sonoma Valley and Windsor high schools. Each of the schools will be partnered with a lodging chef for a friendly appetizer competition dueling it out for the “People’s Choice Award” and the “Best Appetizer”.

    Help us make this evening a brilliant success as we dine on superb appetizers and raise money to help educate our future culinary and hospitality success stories.     Get ready for the upcoming season and refresh your front line staff with affordable half-day training sessions presented by Sonoma County Hospitality Association.

    What a great time for a ‘service tune up’! These sessions will be designed for all segments of hospitality, from hotel guest services to tasting room customer service. We are excited to introduce our presenter, Thomas C. Padron, Ph.D, Program Coordinator & Assistant Professor, California State University, East Bay.

    Presenter Bio:  Thomas C. Padron, Ph.D.

    Dr. Padron is a hospitality industry veteran with experience that encompasses the hospitality, travel, tourism and business industries. He has mentored and guided both students and professionals in developing their customer service acumen and has had great success in assisting them in enhancing their careers. Dr. Padron has a deep passion for customer service and his goal is to educate and inform aspiring professionals and professionals on the details and intricacies of the ever-changing world of customer service. He has presented customer service seminars for universities and organizations and is the Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Cal State East Bay, Hayward, CA, and is an Instructor of Hospitality Management at the College of Marin, Kentfield, CA. Dr. Padron has a Ph.D. in Business Organization and Management with a Specialization in Leadership.
