Join presenters Scott Ormerod and Christine Rodman from Leap Solutions Group for a session designed to provide attendees with an increased awareness of new employment laws that went in to effect Jan. 1, 2019 and how they impact the hospitality industry.  Take the worry out of the unknowns of HR regulation and compliance. Attendees will learn how to best apply California wage and hour rules and regulations, as well as adhere to key laws impacting hospitality employers in California. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.

Presenter Bios:

Scott Ormerod

Scott launched Leap Solutions in 1998 to share and inspire creative, innovative business solutions based on organizational values, vision and mission. With more than 30 years of experience in people management, coaching, organizational development and human resources, Scott incorporates individualism, diversity and growth into organizations’ employee, staff, and management development programs. His vast background includes facilities management, risk management, administration, finance, nonprofits and higher education. Scott also teaches human resources and management courses as an adjunct faculty member for Pacific Union College and University of San Francisco.

Christine Rodman

Christine joined Leap Solutions in 2014 and brings more than twenty years of progressive human resource experience and a commitment to developing positive employee relations within diverse workforces. She has successfully managed employee relations issues and workplace investigations and has developed a variety of training workshops to increase productivity, ensure compliance and boost morale. Christine’s specialties include employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation, training and development, benefits, wage and hour compliance and corporate drug testing across various industries.
